About Edit Farun

Edit Farun understands that family dynamics can be complex and that marital breakdown can be a difficult process. Mediation can provide the ideal non-adversarial setting to resolving these issues and Edit believes that mediation services should be accessible to all members of the community. Edit works within a philosophy and frameworks of “in the best interest of the child(ren).”

Edit has a diverse professional background which includes collaboration with families, youth and children, advocacy and counseling.  She works with the family and within multidisciplinary teams to ensure that the needs of all family members are heard. She has a strong understanding of family law and of legislation relating to custody and access to children.

Edit completed her Advanced Family Mediation training through Conrad Grebel University College, University of Waterloo and is a Member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute (ADR) and the Ontario Association of Family Mediation (OAFM). She also studied Psychology at Trent University and received a Counseling Diploma from George Brown College.

Edit has worked in children’s mental health for over twelve years and has had much success in advocating and negotiating for clients who have complex needs. Her skillful approach has been demonstrated in her ability to manage contentious and complex situations.
